Great time with family!

I have just returned to Oregon from Southern California where I had a chance to visit with family members and friends.

My sister and her family live in Visalia. Lorrie and I had a chance to talk a lot, go through some old pictures, celebrate birthdays (hers and my niece, Michelle's), and talk and deal with some paperwork, and talk, etc. :)

My brother Rob lives in Hemet. He and Patti organized a gathering of other relatives for a great dinner and good visits, and they let me stay at their house. My niece, Wendi, is also in Hemet and we had a great breakfast visit. I suggested that they all make a trip to Latvia some time in the next two years.

On the way north, I stopped to see my aunt in Santa Maria - another good visit. Missed seeing a few other relatives in Santa Barbara because they were in Oregon!!

Also had a chance to talk to and catch up with old Campus Crusade friends in Bakersfield. It was great to find out what everyone is doing these days.

Now, it's time to focus on the the last third of my time here. Please continue to pray for my residence permit - that it will arrive before I leave on June 27th. And pray that I will be wise in what to take with me this time -- and what to ship.
