Post Surgery

I did have my surgery on February 19 as planned but the doctor was not able to do it laparoscopically because of an attached fibriod which was in a difficult location. I spent three days in the hospital and have since been staying with our church's Parish Nurse, Judy Kraft.

The pathology report came back good. There was only a slight invasion of cancer cells in the uterus lining and it had not spread anywhere else. There is no need for radiation or other treatment!

So, now I am taking it easy each day with short outings or walks and cutting back on pain medication. Not sure when, exactly, I will return to Latvia but I hope it will be the end of April. That should give me enough time to regain my strength.

Thanks to everyone for all your love and prayers. I've had lots of calls, cards, and visitors which are making the days go by quickly!
